The second life - or FFw. Freyhaven

End of September - the day has come - I will go on my journey to Münster where I will have my retirement place.
It is quite clear, that I will go on my own wheels!

Before I was able to go I stayed four days in Franks entrance where I got fine companions around me and where
I was proffessionaly cleaned and oiled. An Unimog's paradise. I felt happy, after all these weeks in the dark cargo
container it was wonderfull to see the sunlight again.

On the 29th of September the great day had come - I met my new owners again. They ran forward with smiles on
their faces and hugged me. Before I should leave my place in the entrance I got got some last minute maintenance,
I got fresh oil for my old joints, two new vintage dipsticks, a spare tyre (nobody knows what could happen to an old
chap like me) and last but not least an original 60ties Firefighter ladder - 4,50m! Like the one I carried during my
active firefighting days. Frank was very helpfull and did all he could to make me and my new owners happy by
fullfilling our extraordinary whishes.

After I did a last round at my temporary storage place to say goodbye to the other trucks I got a nice spare can in olive colour.
Now I think I'm almost complete again.

It was getting colder and foggy at the evening when we were ready to go but the journey from Gummersbach to Münster
was fantastic - I enjoyed the long ride over the hills. I ran up and down the hills, just glad to run free again.

Final track trough the night...here it is...my new home where I will sleep this night before I will get a comfortable barn
of my own. I'm sure it will be great time to come with my two pet humans.
